Supporting Readers at Home K-3: A Presentation for Parents

A Parent Education Opportunity for Local Schools

Schools are invited to offer our 1-1/2 hour parent education workshop to its K-3 parents, full of information on how parents can support reading development at home. This power-point presentation contains research-based, best practices information designed to increase parents’ understanding of the reading processes with powerful and effective ways to work with their K-3 readers at home. Schools who offer this presentation will give their parents excellent learning about supporting young readers at home, as well as create a much-needed time to engage in meaningful discussion and have questions answered.

For information on how to bring this presentation to your school’s parent community, contact Ivy Sandz at Literacy Access (510) 528-8773.
